Strengthening International Collaboration in Sustainable Transport

A Chinese delegation from CHTC Kinwin and Yuchai recently visited the Balochistan Public Private Partnership Authority (BPPPA) for training and inspection of the Green and Pink Buses operating in Balochistan.

During the visit, a detailed meeting was held at the BPPPA office focusing on the overall status of the project, operational performance of the buses, and capacity building of local staff. The Chinese technical team also conducted sessions related to training of drivers, technicians, and supervisory staff (Workshop & Operations).

The Chinese delegation expressed satisfaction with the overall condition and maintenance of the buses and appreciated the efforts made to ensure their proper upkeep.

Key points discussed during the meeting included:

1️⃣ Introduction of both sides, including representatives from CHTC Kinwin, Yuchai, and BPPPA.
2️⃣ A detailed briefing by the Chinese delegation on their global business profile and experience in transport solutions.
3️⃣ Presentation by BPPPA on ongoing and pipeline transport sector initiatives, including Green Bus services, Electric Vehicles (EVs), the proposed LRT system, BRT feasibility study under ADB, and the Rickshaw project.
4️⃣ Technical briefing by the Chinese team regarding the health and operational condition of the newly procured buses by the Government of Balochistan, noting that the buses are being maintained in an immaculate condition.
5️⃣ Both sides agreed to maintain close coordination for potential future collaborations in transport and other infrastructure sectors.

Such engagements play an important role in enhancing technical cooperation, knowledge transfer, and sustainable urban mobility solutions in Balochistan.
