Green Bus Service for Quetta
The Project:Â The project envisages provision of quality public bus services in Quetta city under PPP mode. The project is being designed to be executed in 02 phases. In phase 01, 16 buses (8 already procured) will be rolled out for 2 routes, one will be from BUITEMS University to GPO chowk, second will be from UoB to railway station. Based on its successful operations, 2nd phase shall be rolled out, after due study, which would comprise of 40-50 buses, as required. The project will bring about real change for the public transport sector and facilitate the masses to conveniently commute across the city.
Hub Center of Excellence
The Hub CoE’s Operations & Management has been outsourced under the Balochistan PPP rules.Â
- The target was set to enroll/ graduate 900 students in the first year of the contract; and 907 students are enrolled so far.
Kharan Technical Training Center
The Kharan TTC’s Operations & Management has been outsourced under the Balochistan PPP rules.Â
- The target was set to graduate the 420 student in the first year of the contract; and the private party has graduated 434 students.
Establishment of LPG Testing Laboratory
The Balochistan PPP Authority has signed agreement with the private party regarding establishment of LPG Testing Laboratory at Taftan, Balochistan (Pak-Iran Border) under the Balochistan PPP Framework.Â
Integrated Parking Plazas Project
The BPPPA has outsourced the development, operations and maintenance of the already established parking Plaza at circular road, Quetta and development of the parking Plaza on a state land, mutton market, Mezan Chowk, Quetta.Â
Mountain View Tech Park at Quetta
The Balochistan PPP Authority and Commissioner Quetta Division have outsourced the operations and managment of the first ever Tech Park in Quetta city.Â
Chaman Master Plan
The Balochistan Public-Private Partnership Authority (BPPPA) successfully executed the outsourcing of Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of an already established facility located in a bordering district of Balochistan on November 12, 2024. This initiative was undertaken to enhance operational efficiency, improve service delivery standards, and ensure sustainable management of the facility through private sector participation. Given the strategic importance of border areas in trade facilitation and regional connectivity, the project is expected to play a key role in strengthening economic activity and optimizing the utilization of existing infrastructure.
Enhanced Urban Transport Quetta-Green Bus Expansion Quetta
The Green Bus Project in Quetta has been significantly expanded from 8 buses to 25 buses, including the addition of 5 Pink Buses dedicated to women. This expansion reflects the Government’s commitment to enhancing urban mobility, ensuring safe and reliable public transport, and promoting inclusive services for all segments of society.
Safa Quetta (Integrated Solid Waste Management Project)
The Safa Quetta Project, launched on 14th August 2024, is a flagship urban sanitation initiative aimed at transforming solid waste management and cleanliness standards across Quetta city. Since its commencement, the project has been successfully operating citywide, delivering efficient waste collection, improved environmental hygiene, and enhanced public services. Through a modern and sustainable approach, Safa Quetta is contributing to a cleaner, healthier, and more livable urban environment for the residents of Quetta.
Harley Medical College at Quetta
The Balochistan Public-Private Partnership Authority (BPPPA) has successfully executed the agreement for the establishment of Harley Medical College in Quetta under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) framework. This landmark initiative reflects the Government of Balochistan’s commitment to strengthening the healthcare and medical education sector by leveraging private sector investment, expertise, and innovation. The project aims to develop a state-of-the-art medical college equipped with modern teaching facilities, advanced laboratories, and associated healthcare infrastructure to meet international standards.
